Renault News for the Talisman, Espace and Koleos
Add a specific range high and new gasoline and diesel engines
Renault renews part of its range, specifically the Talisman models (in its two bodies), Espace and the Koleos SUV. It incorporates a high-end equipment that is identified by a prominent logo on a large calender and adds a new generation of gasoline and diesel engines with the latest emission reduction technologies to meet the most demanding standards.
These three vehicles bring details such as the shark antenna on the roof, the C-shaped full- light luminous signature that reflects a more striking image, the large diameter wheels and the sculpted high flanks combined with the reduced lateral glass surfaces that add a largest premium packaging. The feeling of perceived quality improves with the finish of the leather with stitching, the satin finish of the chromed inserts and the trim of the doors.
There are small details in the respective ranges, such as the Blue Cosmos color and the 20-inch wheels in the Espace, while inside the upholstery and the dashboard are black leather with red stitching that is repeated on the steering wheel, the bellows of the gearbox and the doors. The mats are specific, embroidered with the S-Edition logo in gray and red; the pedals are made of aluminum, the black roof sky adds a touch of sportiness and the interior adds design elements in imitation aluminum.
For Talisman and Espace, the brand markets a new generation of more efficient gasoline and diesel engines. More powerful, they provide the latest technologies to reduce polluting emissions. The TCe 225 EDC FAP gasoline is manufactured in Busan (South Korea), carries particle filter for optimized consumption and greater control of CO2 emissions.
It is a four-cylinder engine, 1.8 liters with turbo and direct injection from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. Developed by Renault and Renault Sport engineers, it stands out for its brilliant performance thanks to its 225 horsepower.
New diesel engines Blue dCi
As for diesel, the Renault Group proposes three new propellers known as Blue dCi, equipped with anti-pollution technology with selective reduction catalyst and AdBlue, which is the most advanced technique to produce the least contamination. As in gasoline, they yield more power with a moderate consumption.
The SCR anti-pollution technology allows a reduction in NOx emissions, which are the most harmful. With a solution based on urea (Adblue), it transforms the emissions of nitrogen dioxide into nitrogen and into water. The AdBlue is available at most service stations and the deposit is easily accessed. With a full of this urea can travel about 7,000 kilometers.
The blue dCi 160 EDC and 200 EDC for the Espace and Talisman will arrive before the end of the year. The most powerful with 200 HP and a high torque of 400 Nm, is associated with the automatic gearbox with double clutch EDC, which is a guarantee of good performance and ride comfort. The less powerful variant of 160 HP, also with EDC, provides softness, content consumption and low CO2 emissions.
As usual at Renault, the R-LINK 2 device links the mobile to project compatible applications on the 8.7-inch screen; uses Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. For the navigator the application Waze is added and the app My Renault allows to manage the vehicle in remote way from the mobile. According to the version, for lovers of good music it equips a Bose sound system.
As for the technological solutions for greater safety at the wheel, the three models have the adaptive speed regulator to automatically adjust the speed and maintain a distance with the vehicle that precedes us. Now the Koleos has the fatigue detection alert and the AEBS that also has the "pedestrian" function. The Espace benefits from the gate with hands-free opening, the same as the Koleos, Talisman Berlina and the familiar Sport Tourer.
Four wheels guidelines
In the mechanical section, the four-wheel steering system, which Renault calls 4Control manages the rotation of the rear wheels, which up to 50 km / h are in the opposite direction to the front wheels, thereby improving the turning radius and the maneuvers. On the other hand, the piloted damping continuously adapts the response of the dampers depending on parameters such as the road surface or the direction.
Another advantage is the Multi-Sense system. Accessible from the R-LINK 2 screen, it facilitates the power to choose the driving mode, with four possibilities (Eco, Comfort, Neutral, Sport), from the most dynamic to the quietest and also a fifth customizable (Perso).
As far as the Koleos is concerned, the four-wheel-drive versions guarantee performance in all types of terrain by the All Mode 4x4-i system, an integral transmission device that constantly monitors the grip between the wheels and the ground. Like the Multi-Sense device, in the Koleos the driver can choose the desired transmission mode. In the case of the X-Tronic, it is the one that provides more dynamic accelerations.
